The London Japanese Language Meetup Group will be at Yami-Nabe at Life Bar, Old Street this Friday for a Happy hour, DJs, Japanese music, and dancers. Happy hour is from 6-8pm (specials on Kirin and other drinks), but the party goes on 'til late with music and dancers...
'Meetup Description: We have been invited to Life bar again for “Yami Nabe”. There will be an eclectic mix of music from 60’s and 70’s Japanese tracks through to world music, through to…. well, pretty much anything. I’ll be there with my yellow “Onsen” T-Shirt if you’re looking for people from the group.'

The London Market Language Exchange presents a Japanese Club social evening for those interested in practising Japanese.
Held at the stylish Bincho restaurant (a specialist in yakitori), on the second floor of the OXO Tower, the £10 entrance fee will cover some tasty snacks.

If you want to speak Japanese in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, try the London Japanese Conversation Meetup Group. Founded in 2002, this is a casual, 'free' (£1 donation optional) event held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm.
Often crowded, this conversation group attracts a young crowd of Japanese speakers, both native and non-native. The current venue for the event is The Crooked Surgeon pub The Slug and Lettuce. The Crooked Surgeon The Slug and Lettuce is on Lisle Street, off the bottom end of Wardour Street.

Meeting monthly upstairs in the function room of The Clachan pub, the Japan Society’s Conversation Group is a terrific chance to speak Japanese and get to know a wide assortment of people, all with a keen interest in Japan!
A finger buffet is provided – the typically stodgy English fare (sandwiches, sausages, crisps and other nibbles) does seem to go down well along with the pay-as-you-go bar and freely flowing conversation…
The Clachan is a bustling Soho pub with a lavish Victorian interior and a “sip before you sup” policy that allows you to try before you buy! Located at 34 Kingly Street, W1B 5QH, the nearest tube is Oxford Street.

The London Japanese Conversation Meetup Group will be getting together for a one-off special weekend event on Saturday the 4th of October. Life is a Japanese-run bar and restaurant with a Happy Hour from 6pm to 8pm (Kirin at £2 a pint!). Until 11pm there will be Japanese conversation, and then 11pm to 2am the DJs will turn the music up transforming the night into a club event!
